A little about me

My name is María Martínez, a registered dietitian specialised in Eating Disorders (TCA), currently studying a Master's in Clinical Nutrition and Digestive Conditions.

My interest in nutrition grew out of my own experience and understanding how important it is to build a good relationship with food. That's why I decided to help other people take care of their health with empathy, without turning food into a source of worry, guilt or restriction.

My goal is to give you the tools to improve your diet, reach your goals and learn to take care of yourself in a way you can keep up long-term.

We'll work as a team, keeping things simple, flexible and adapted to you. Always grounded in scientific evidence, but taking into account your lifestyle, your tastes, your needs and your life circumstances.

Because eating well also means enjoying, being flexible, and living.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a session take?

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to tell me about your situation, goals, habits, preferences and needs in detail. We will have approximately one hour to get to know you better and gather all the information needed to tailor the process to you.

Follow-up sessions last around 30 minutes and allow us to review your progress, answer any questions and make any necessary changes or adjustments.

How do online consultations work?

Online consultations work just like in-person appointments, but they take place via video call, so you can attend comfortably from wherever you are.

What should I bring to the first visit?

If you have any recent blood test results, feel free to bring them so we can review them during the appointment. I also recommend wearing comfortable clothing if you would like to have body measurements taken.

Are there packages?

At the moment, consultations are booked individually. I'm currently working on offering packages and other follow-up options in the future.

How often are follow-up sessions?

I generally recommend having follow-up sessions every 2–4 weeks, although the frequency will depend on your individual needs and goals. As we progress, we can adjust the time between appointments.

Do I have to follow a strict meal plan?

No. My goal is not for you to always depend on a meal plan, but to help you learn how to eat healthily and independently. Throughout our sessions, we will work on different tools so that you can make your own choices, adapt your diet to different situations and gradually learn what works best for you.

Do I have to be weighed during the appointment?

No. Being weighed is not mandatory, nor is it the most important tool for assessing your progress. If we feel it could provide useful information, we can use it, but we will always take into account your preferences and how you feel about it.

What happens if I can't follow the plan?

Absolutely nothing. If something isn't working, we'll review it together and find an alternative that works better for you. I'm not here to judge you, but to support you and help you find what truly works in your everyday life.

Can I contact you between appointments?

Yes. If you have any questions about your plan or need to make any changes to your appointment, you can contact me via WhatsApp and I'll do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.

How long will I need follow-up sessions for?

There is no set timeframe, as it will depend on your individual needs, goals and progress. We can work on many important aspects in 4–5 sessions, but we'll assess your needs together and adapt the follow-up process as we go.
