How your personal data is handled when you get in touch or book a consultation, under the GDPR.

What data we process and why
Contact: if you write via WhatsApp, Instagram or email, your name, number or username and the content of your message are processed in order to reply. Legal basis: your consent and steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6.1.a and 6.1.b GDPR).
Browsing: the hosting server may technically record your IP address and the basic details of each request (date, page and browser) in its logs, for security and operational reasons. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site secure (Art. 6.1.f GDPR). We do not use that data for analytics or profiling.
Nutrition consultation: during follow-up, health data is processed, which is a special category of data. It is processed only to provide healthcare and with your explicit consent (Art. 9.2.a and 9.2.h GDPR).
How long the data is kept
Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to reply and handle your request.
Clinical records are kept for at least five years from the end of each episode of care, under Article 17 of Spanish Law 41/2002 on patient autonomy.
Who else is involved (processors and third parties)
Web hosting: Netlify, Inc. (United States). Messaging and social network: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (WhatsApp, Instagram). Map: Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Maps).
Transfers to the United States rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
The map and the Instagram posts only load if you press the corresponding button. Data is not shared with third parties unless required by law.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to microbiontes@gmail.com. You will receive a reply within one month at the latest.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, C/ Jorge Juan, 6, 28001 Madrid, www.aepd.es).
